Menstrual Cramp Explained Tips & Information

Most women suffer pain in their lives and sometimes it may feel as if they are being punished for being female. Even if you have irregular cycles, you can still get hit with menstrual cramps, though some women get them worse than others. If you have endometriosis, or PCOS (which affects around 10 percent of women) you may get these worse than other women. Some women experience such severe pains they are not even able to leave their bed.
This is when you need some menstrual cramp relief you can count on time and time again. It’s strange how your physician will often prescribe one of the most used remedies and that is a pill. Drug manufacturers were quick to formulate a remedy which most people know as Pamprin. Although many women prefer not to take any form of medication, this does you no credit if you cannot do anything for days each month.

Think about how many days you lose each year to painful cramps that you do not have to endure? The cramps aren’t the only thing that has to be endured either; the feeling of having eaten too much and nausea can also be a problem. I just didn’t want to continue enduring the pains almost every month so I started looking around for menstrual cramp relief remedies. Of course when the complaint is irregular it can be even more annoying because there were some cycles where I felt almost no discomfort at all!
Sometimes, my relief comes in the form of a heating pad which I normally use on my stomach, and other times it works best when placed on my back. If pills don’t seem to touch the pain, this may be something you want to try for your discomfort. However, if you endure more painful menstrual cramps you may need to try something stronger. The problem really arises when time has to be taken form work; no employer likes this every month.
If this has happened to you, you should make an appointment to talk to your doctor about finding menstrual cramp relief. Many women find that the birth control pill is an answer and the doctor may even suggest this remedy if they know you are not currently taking it. Obviously this would be a stupid option if you are trying for a baby but there will be other remedies you doctor can prescribe to help the cramp you feel each cycle. You can get relief from those awful cramps if you try enough different remedies because it is only a matter of time.
